We use third party specialized delivery companies to bring the door to you. Drivers typically drop the door curbside but in some cases can leave the door elsewhere on your property. Most doors can be carried safely by one person.
We have very little control over delivery dates and times. We will do your best to accommodate your schedule but also will need flexibility to find a time that works for the drivers and you.
Shipping Costs
Shipping rates are displayed at checkout and based on your location. You can find out the ship costs on any product page by entering your zip code and state in the shipping costs estimator.
Delivery Process
In most cases a delivery truck will pull up to the curb at your location within a per-determined appointment window. From there, you will be responsible for unloading the item(s) from the truck and any further transport beyond that point.
Although most doors can be carried by one person, we recommend at least 2 people present at time of delivery.
It is the customer's responsibility to unload the doors from the back of the truck. Sometimes the truck driver will assist in removing the product from the truck, but they are not required to do so.
Damaged Delivery
Since we use specialized carriers, it is very rare for damage to occur during shipment. We recommend you inspect the box for signs of damage upon receipt while the driver is still present. Damaged shipments should be refused or received with notation of apparent damage on the the freight company’s paperwork.
If the damage is found after the driver leaves, contact us immediately and we will do our best to help resolve the situation.
ReplacementStormDoors.com is not liable for damages other than those mentioned on the freight company's delivery receipt. Please ensure you inspect the door before signing the receipt.
During unloading of the doors from the truck, ReplacementStormDoors.com assumes no responsibility or liability for damage to the product, personal injury to someone or any other issue that may arise due to moving the product from the curbside to the inside space.
Re-Scheduled Deliveries
If you have scheduled delivery and then no one is present to receive the order when the carrier arrives, the carrier may charge a re-delivery fee. It is important therefore that you adhere to the appointment that you made with the carrier and notify them of any changes as soon as possible.
If you are unable to be successfully contacted to schedule delivery, daily storage fees will begin to be charged that you will be responsible for before the order can be delivered to you.
Address Restrictions
Freight trucks are large and can often be actual tractor trailers. If you reside in a location where such a truck would not be able to get to you, please let us know prior to the shipment of your order. We are not responsible if you are required to make arrangements with the freight carrier to meet their truck at another location to obtain your order.
If the delivery address you provide is inaccessible or invalid, additional charges may apply.
We do not ship to P.O. boxes or military APO/FPO addresses.
Change of Delivery Address
Any change of address prior to delivery must be received in writing prior to shipping. Any changes made to the address and / or phone number after the order has been shipped is subject to an intercept and transportation fee, which is charged to us by the carrier.
International Orders
We do not ship outside the contiguous US, nor Alaska, Hawaii or to the US Territories, including Guam, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
Additional Delivery Surcharge
We do our best to ensure that shipping is correctly calculated before you purchase. However, at times it may not be possible to do so accurately. We reserve the right to notify you after you’ve purchased an item of any additional shipping or handling charges necessary to deliver your order. If notified of any additional charges, you have the right to modify or cancel your order for a full refund.
Payments
We are responsible for making payments to the shipping and delivery vendors directly. You, the customer, do NOT have to pay anything to the drivers at the time of delivery or at any other time. Any and all such payments, if made by the customer to the carrier company or its representatives, for any additional or existing services will be at your sole discretion and cost. You agree that ReplacementStormDoors.com, will not refund such payments under any circumstances.
